EUROPA 2: “Soul Kitchen” themed cruise sets sail this summer

  • A fusion of lifestyle cuisine and soul music
  • The singing celebrity chef Nelson Müller and the German soul singer Stefan Gwildis will be on board

The four-day Baltic Sea, “Soul Kitchen” cruise on the EUROPA 2, departs from Hamburg on June 29 this year and will sail to Kiel. With the theme of “Singing, cooking, dancing”, gourmet fans and lovers of soul alike can enjoy a cruise totally tailored to their tastes. Along for the ride is singing celebrity chef Nelson Müller, who will entertain guests with lifestyle cooking, accompanied by music. Stefan Gwildis and his band will also be performing on board.

When the EUROPA 2 sets sail with the “Soul Kitchen” themed cruise, the 5-stars-plus* luxury ship will transform into a floating stage for soul music and live cooking. Celebrity chefs, DJs and musicians will celebrate the combination of gourmet and music. Nelson Müller is a famous celebrity chef with Ghanaian roots, who brings both elements together. The multi-talented chef from Stuttgart/Germany will entertain guests with his cookery shows and singing talents. Guests can actively join in with the theme of the cruise and take part in cookery courses and mixing workshops with the DJ. However, the lifestyle of the cruise is not just limited to the ship: street food vendors prepare fresh dishes at the Street Food Market, which covers an area of 2,300 m2 (24,757 ft2) on Papiroen (“Paper Island”) in Copenhagen. Guests can be inspired by the latest trends in the street food scene right in the harbour, with live music playing in the background.

Stefan Gwildis and his band will set the right mood on board. With his remarkable soul voice, Gwildis is the embodiment of German soul music. Other musical highlights include Terri Green and her band, and entertainer Yared Dibaba will be accompanying the cruise as a host.

This gourmet format is a collaboration between Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and Cruise Company GmbH & Co. KG.

Soul Kitchen” cruise: from June 29 to July 3, 2016 (four days) from Hamburg/Germany to Copenhagen/Denmark, Aarhus/Denmark and Kiel/Germany, featuring a daytime passage through the Kiel Canal, from € 4,180 (£3,140, $5,020) per person (minimum booking: Grand Ocean Suite), cruise only.
